Job title: Senior Developer 2 – Platform Engineering (CI/CD)
About the Role
We are expanding our Platform & Infrastructure Engineering team and are seeking a Senior Developer 2 – CI/CD Platform Engineering to lead the design, implementation, and evolution of scalable software delivery platforms and developer enablement solutions. You will drive the architecture and operational excellence of CI/CD systems that power reliable, secure software delivery across the organization, while mentoring engineers and shaping long‑term platform strategy.
What You'll Do

Design and evolve enterprise CI/CD platforms for multi‑team workflows

Build self‑service developer platform capabilities for provisioning, deployment automation, secrets management

Architect scalable GitOps and IaC patterns across cloud environments

Develop internal platform services (e.g., Backstage), automation tooling, and APIs to boost productivity

Strengthen software supply chain security: artifact management, vulnerability scanning, policy enforcement, workload identity, secure deployment practices

Define governance standards for CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure provisioning, and access controls

Drive observability and reliability: metrics, logging, tracing, alerts, and SLO monitoring

Collaborate with application and reliability teams to improve deployment reliability and incident response

Lead proof‑of‑concept initiatives and guide adoption of new tooling and architectural improvements

Mentor engineers through design reviews and platform enablement initiatives

Promote AI‑driven development practices and tools such as GitHub Copilot

What We're Looking For
-
6+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or cloud infrastructure engineering
-
Strong software development background in Go, Python, or similar languages
-
Deep knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud‑native infrastructure, with hands‑on experience with Amazon EKS and supporting CI/CD platforms at scale

Extensive experience with AWS services including EC2, IAM, VPC, Route 53, S3, CloudWatch, ECR, Lambda, and managed Kubernetes services

Strong understanding of CI/CD architecture, deployment automation, GitOps workflows, and developer platform engineering concepts

Experience with Infrastructure‑as‑Code using Terraform, Helm, CloudFormation, or CDK
-
Cloud security, IAM, secrets management, policy enforcement, and least‑privilege access controls

Troubleshooting and operational skills across Linux, networking, containers, and distributed systems
-
Ability to lead technical initiatives, influence engineering standards, and collaborate across multiple teams

Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to document architecture and engineering standards
-
Experience mentoring engineers and driving best practices within platform or infrastructure teams
-
Experience managing artifact registries and lifecycle at scale (governance, retention, replication, security controls)

Experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Buildkite (preferred), or GitLab CI, and artifact management platforms like JFrog Artifactory

Experience implementing software supply chain security and compliance controls including SBOM, image signing, and vulnerability management

Experience operating and securing cloud environments
