Senior Swimwear Designer

Key responsibilities

• Design & development
• Research current inspiration and industry trends.
• Be a leader on the team and take initiative. (Through projects and mentorship)
• Design- Driving newness, creativity and innovation with every aspect of product and design.
• Work with the design and cross functional teams on development, line sheets, costing sheets, design cards, prints, and fittings.
• Leading design on sketching and CADs.
• Collaborate with production and PD teams to source and develop trims and fabrics.
• Partner with technical team on development styles, including design card creation and fitting sessions.
• Lead design team with design direction, story/mood board creation. Creating presentations. Includes working with 3D team for presentations.
• Manage and mentor junior team members. This includes work delegation and time management.
• Manage team’s workflow to meet deadlines.
• Miro board building and management. This includes checking internal and Target facing communication.
• Leading internal and Target meeting presentations.
• Schedule cross functional meetings when needed
• Lead project management and daily check ins with the design team and communicate with cross functional teams.

Sample management & logistics

• Coordinate with product development, tech and production teams to develop product.
• Manage team shipping samples to Target.
• Keep design team on calendar.

Shopping

• Regularly shop Target stores and other stores for inspiration.
• Create shopping reports.

Daily workflow: Daily responsibilities vary based on calendar, design schedule and needs:

• Monitor and respond to emails throughout the day.
• Review internal and external Miro boards for communication and updates.
• Manage and communicate with the Design team any goals, deadlines, projects.
• Fittings (varies)

Salary

• $125,000.00 - $155,000
