Growing at Atlassian
At Atlassians can choose where they work – whether in an office, from home, or a combination of the two. That way, Atlassians have more control over supporting their family, personal goals, and other priorities. We can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity.
Your Future Org
At Atlassian, Design is all about creating clarity, connection, and joy in how teams experience our products. We’re building a unified experience that feels seamless across every tool—so customers can stay in flow and unlock the full power of our platform. We put AI at the center of our approach, designing interactions that feel intuitive, helpful, and human. If you care about thoughtful, systems-minded design that helps teams do great work—we’d love to meet you.
Your Future Team
You’ll lead design for Strategy Collection, Atlassian’s AI-native Strategic Portfolio Management suite—Focus, Talent, and Align, powered by Rovo—that connects strategic bets, workforce capacity, delivery work, and financials into a single living operating model. This is a 0-to-1, executive-sponsored space where you’ll define how leaders at the world’s largest enterprises see, sense, and steer their businesses. You’ll manage a team of 5–10 designers today, with the opportunity to scale toward 10–15 over the next 12–18 months.
-
Define and drive the 0-to-1 design vision for Strategy Collection, establishing new interaction paradigms in a high-ambiguity space.
-
Set and enforce a high bar for craft, fit and finish, visual polish, information hierarchy, and motion across Focus, Talent, Align, and Goals.
-
Manage, coach, and scale a high-performing team of 5–10 designers toward 10–15 as adoption grows.
-
Partner as an equal with Product and Engineering leadership on roadmap, prioritization, and strategic bets.
-
Champion AI-native design workflows—rapid prototyping, data-driven validation, and compressed discovery-to-delivery cycles.
-
Advocate for C-suite, transformation, and portfolio-manager users, ensuring the product earns their trust and delivers actionable clarity.
Minimum Qualifications
-
Experience managing and scaling teams of senior ICs and/or design managers.
-
A portfolio demonstrating high attention to craft and detail and the ability to simplify complex systems into intuitive workflows.
-
Proven success operating in nascent, high-ambiguity 0-to-1 environments.
-
Hands-on experience applying modern AI tools to prototyping, exploration, or product features.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Prior experience at AI-first or AI-forward product teams.
-
Familiarity with SPM, OKRs, enterprise analytics, workforce planning, or financial governance platforms.
-
Track record of growing design teams from single digits to mid-teens through product-market-fit inflection points.
