Job title: Senior DC Trainer
About the Role The DC Trainer is responsible for training all new distribution center employees in picking, packing, and shipping, as well as industrial equipment training and change training. You will work with the Continuous Improvement team on new processes or changes to processes to ensure effective onboarding and ongoing training across shifts.
What You'll Do
- Read and comprehend order information and work instructions
- Provide direct hands-on training and instruction for DC processes and equipment
- Maintain training logs
- Conduct new hire orientations
- Practice 5S and Safety
- React to change effectively and handle other tasks as assigned
- Assist with preparation of Training Material
- Assist with Classroom On-boarding and Training
- Be flexible to perform additional training duties and support other shifts if necessary
What We're Looking For
- High School diploma or GED required
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Basic math and computer skills (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
- High attention to detail
- Ability to perform work per instructions and within reasonable time
- Knowledge of all distribution center functions: pick, pack, receive and ship
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work in Manufacturing Plant environment with standing, bending, and repetitive motion; ability to operate manual pallet jack and powered industrial trucks
Nice to Have
- High Jump experience preferred
- Training experience or leadership experience preferred
