Senior Data Warehouse Developer

BlackRock is seeking a Senior Data Warehouse Developer to join our technology team in New York, NY. The role focuses on building data analytics and reporting solutions to support investment analysis, portfolio management, back-office processing, investor reporting, and regulatory filings. The candidate will work closely with stakeholders across Front Office, Back Office, Investor Relations, Tax, Legal, and Management Company to deliver data reporting and analytics technology solutions.

Responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of mission-critical data delivery applications, including business analysis, design and architecture, development, and deployment.
• Collaborate with internal software development teams and application vendors to develop solutions and integrate vendor products to deliver enterprise-wide software solutions.
• Enhance the firm’s existing data delivery system by working directly with Portfolio Management, Operations, and Accounting teams.
• Build and integrate data analytics and reporting solutions to support Senior Management, Investor Relations, Business Development, Front Office (PMs/Analysts/Traders), Risk, Operations, and Finance.
• Manage offsite and offshore development teams.
• Develop tools to monitor and manage data flows.
• Continuously enrich data access and innovate dashboard capabilities.

Requirements

• 8+ years of total relevant experience, with at least 5+ years in the financial industry (hedge funds, private debt funds preferred).
• Data modeling and data warehousing experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, and Snowflake is a plus.
• Excellent MS-SQL query composition skills.
• Development experience with the Microsoft BI platform (Power BI, Power Apps, SSRS, etc.).
• Product knowledge in one or more asset classes (bank loans, bonds, credit derivatives, FX forwards) is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highest degree of business ethics and professionalism.
• Strong appreciation for architecture, analysis, problem solving, testing, and agile development.
• Ability to perform business analysis and manage and maintain various user relationships.
• Proven experience in team management, mentoring staff, and driving group success.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; degree from a Tier-I engineering institute (IIT/NIT/BITS/equivalent) preferred.
