Renault Group is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, develop, and support scalable data ingestion and transformation pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will help build modern Lakehouse solutions using Dataflow, Dataform, BigQuery, and Pub/Sub to support analytics, reporting, and AI-driven data products. This role collaborates closely with Data Architects, Data Governance, Analytics Engineers, BI Developers, and Business Teams to deliver reliable, secure, and high-performance data solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data ingestion and transformation pipelines on GCP
- Build and operate Lakehouse solutions using Dataflow, Dataform, BigQuery, and Pub/Sub
- Support analytics, reporting, and AI-driven data products
- Work with Data Architects, Data Governance, Analytics Engineers, BI Developers, and business teams to ensure reliable, secure, and high-performance data solutions
- Implement batch and streaming data processing, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data ingestion frameworks
- Apply data modeling and warehousing principles, data lakehouse concepts, and CDC/incremental processing
- Ensure proper data security, IAM controls, monitoring, and logging
Requirements
- Experience: 6+ years in data engineering
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP) expertise with hands-on work in:
- BigQuery (advanced optimization and tuning)
- Dataflow (batch and streaming pipelines)
- Dataform (SQL-based transformations)
- Pub/Sub (event-driven architectures)
- Cloud Storage (GCS)
- Dataplex / Data Catalog
- Analytics Hub (data sharing)
- Cloud Monitoring & Logging
- IAM & security controls
- Data engineering skills in: batch and streaming processing, ETL/ELT design and implementation, data ingestion frameworks (config-driven approach preferred), CDC and incremental processing, data lakehouse concepts, data modeling and warehousing
- Programming: Python, advanced SQL, Java or Scala (preferred), scripting and automation
- Preferred Google Cloud certifications: Google Professional Data Engineer, Google Associate Data Practitioner
