Senior Data Engineer - Established Financial Group (HK | 12-Month Contract)
We've partnered with an established financial group undergoing a major tech modernization across its regional business units.
They are hiring a Senior Data Engineer in Hong Kong to own the redesign of complex relational data schemas. You'll bridge business logic and core engineering to build scalable structures powering downstream AI, publishing, and client platforms.
What You Bring
- Location & Language: Must be based in Hong Kong with Cantonese/Mandarin fluency (Chinese speaker preferred).
- Schema Modeling: Requires a proven record designing complex relational schemas from scratch (beyond standard DBA work).
- Multi-Database: Requires hands-on SQL mastery across SQL Server, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
- X-Functional: Requires strong ability to collaborate with PMs, BAs, and developers to translate business needs into data models.
- Preferred: Financial Services or enterprise-scale data exposure highly regarded.
