About the Role Based in Tlalnepantla with a hybrid work arrangement, the Senior Data Engineer at IFF designs, builds, and optimizes scalable data pipelines and data platforms to support analytics, AI, and data products across enterprise systems. You will transform raw data into high-quality datasets, establish governable data solutions, and mentor engineers while partnering with stakeholders to drive business value.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines integrating data from multiple enterprise platforms (R&D, SAP, Digital, and external sources).
- Lead transformation of raw data into business-ready datasets for analytics, reporting, AI, and data products.
- Architect and maintain reliable, high-performance data solutions ensuring data accessibility, scalability, and operational excellence.
- Drive automation to improve data ingestion, processing, monitoring, and deployment processes.
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders to define and implement data products delivering measurable business value.
- Implement advanced data quality controls, monitoring frameworks, and validation processes across the data lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain data applications and self-service solutions to improve data accessibility and user adoption.
- Ensure adherence to data governance, security, privacy, and compliance standards across all data platforms and solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to data engineering best practices, standards, and technical roadmaps.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Integration, Data Platform Development, or related technical roles.
- Strong expertise in SQL and Python for data engineering, automation, and large-scale data processing.
- Extensive experience designing and managing ETL/ELT pipelines in cloud-based environments.
- Hands-on experience with modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, AWS, or similar technologies.
- Strong understanding of data governance, security, privacy, and compliance across data platforms and solutions.
