As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping and scaling Amer Sports’ enterprise data platform. You will design, build, and own end-to-end data products, enabling trusted, reusable, and interoperable data across globally recognized brands such as Salomon, Arc’teryx, Peak Performance, Atomic, and Wilson. This role combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership, offering the opportunity to influence engineering standards, mentor other engineers, and contribute to the evolution of a modern federated data ecosystem.

What you will be doing

• Designing and building scalable, reusable data pipelines using Databricks, Delta Live Tables, Auto Loader, Apache Spark, and Delta Lake.
• Developing and maintaining end-to-end data products across the Medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold).
• Delivering trusted and discoverable data assets consumable through Unity Catalog, Databricks SQL, Power BI, APIs, and Delta Sharing.
• Optimizing pipelines and data products for scalability, reliability, cost efficiency, and performance.
• Implementing automated data quality monitoring, lineage tracking, and governance standards.
• Collaborating with stakeholders across brands and functions to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Contributing to and driving adoption of engineering standards, best practices, CI/CD principles, and reusable design patterns.
• Acting as a technical reference point and mentor for junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, architectural guidance, and knowledge sharing.
• Supporting cross-brand collaboration and helping shape the future direction of the enterprise data platform.
• Monitoring platform health, supporting incident resolution, and driving continuous improvements.

You will report to the Director of Data Engineering.

What you need to succeed Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, including at least 3 years working with Databricks in enterprise environments.
• Proven experience designing and operating end-to-end data products across the Medallion architecture.
• Experience working in distributed, multi-team, or multi-brand environments.
• Ability to balance hands-on delivery with technical leadership and platform thinking.
