Job Description

Senior Data Delivery Expert (Global Commercial Business Technology Solutions), AbbVie Inc., Mettawa, IL, Hybrid (3 fixed days a week/ 2 days WFH/remote).

Key Responsibilities

• Design & develop data, software, & tech solutions to business questions.
• Pressure-test requirements for accurate delivery.
• Present & lead status to business stakeholders.
• Prepare & present data distributions to non-tech audiences.
• Compile & deliver accurate solution estimates.
• Define scope by understanding business needs with technology capabilities.
• Elicit requirements from ambiguous business needs.
• Challenge where needed.
• Execute the software development lifecycle for new builds/changes

Qualifications

• Education & Experience

• Must have a Master’s degree in computer science, applied & computational mathematics, data science, management information systems, analytics or related field & 1 year of work experience in a combination of data analyst &/or data engineering roles. Of experience required, must have 1 year of experience in: (i) analyzing & engineering data with Structured Query Language (SQL); (ii) gathering business requirements & preparing & presenting orally & in writing to supervisor, non-technology stakeholders, & peers in a matrixed organization; (iii) analyzing & transforming data with Python; & (iv) storing, processing, & analyzing data on cloud-based solutions.

• Alternatively, would accept a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, applied & computational mathematics, data science, management information systems, analytics or related field & 5 years of work experience in a combination of data analyst &/or data engineering roles. Of experience required, must have: (i) 4 years analyzing & engineering data with Structured Query Language (SQL); (ii) 3 years gathering business requirements & preparing & presenting orally & in writing to supervisor, non-technology stakeholders, & peers in a matrixed organization; (iii) 1 year analyzing & transforming data with Python; & (iv) 1 year storing, processing, & analyzing data on cloud-based solutions.

• Experience may be gained concurrently.

• Salary Range: $139,818 - $162,000 per year
