About the Role The Senior Cyber Underwriter will drive the regional cyber business development, underwriting new and renewal business, and lead broker relationships to execute AIG's Cyber strategy. This role contributes to growth of Financial Lines, Cyber and provides thought leadership in cyber risk solutions. What You'll Do
- Underwrite cyber business (new and renewal) within approved decision-making standards and authority
- Assess risk by reviewing financial statements, maintaining broker contact, evaluating proposals, reviewing claims history and company information
- Use designated underwriting systems to input data consistently and manage information across Profit Centre
- Provide excellent service to brokers and develop networking opportunities
- Generate new business by expanding broker network, attending broker events, and building relationships across the market
- Meet or exceed new business targets and contribute to retention targets for the regional Cyber team
- Support other underwriters and help develop networking opportunities
- Ensure contract certainty; conduct self-audit/peer-review as required
- Work in a cooperative team environment and be primarily in-office at the Manchester location What We're Looking For
- Underwriting experience required; Cyber underwriting experience highly valued
- Strong communication skills and time management; ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to analyze financial statements and assess risk
- Proven ability to network and build broker relationships
- Organizational skills; customer- and sales-focused
