About the Role
As a Senior Cyber Security Engineer/ISSM, you will lead information security engineering efforts for DoD systems at Wright-Patterson AFB, supporting RMF processes and ensuring compliance with applicable security requirements. This role combines technical security engineering with information systems security management to protect critical national security assets. What You'll Do

Lead design and implementation of security controls for DoD information systems in collaboration with program offices and system owners.

Perform security assessments, security control tailoring, and support Authority to Operate (ATO) activities under RMF.

Develop and maintain system security documentation (SSP, POA&M), incident response plans, and continuous monitoring strategies.

Identify, analyze, and mitigate security risks; coordinate with customers, auditors, and government stakeholders to ensure risk reduction and compliance.

Mentor junior staff and contribute to program proposals, risk management, and security engineering initiatives. What We're Looking For

Strong background in cybersecurity engineering and information systems security management with hands-on RMF/NIST 800-53 experience and DoD security processes.

Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and work on-site at Wright-Patterson AFB.

Problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment. Nice to Have

DoD 8570 IAM certifications (e.g., Security+, CISSP, SSCP) or equivalent

Additional certifications or hands-on experience with cyber defense tooling, RMF automation, or cloud security is a plus Compensation & Benefits
