About the Role Senior Cross-Cutting Researcher on GiveWell's Cross-Cutting team to help inform grantmaking across the portfolio. You'll shape ambitious, cross-portfolio research agendas and bring rigorous empirical evidence review, cost-effectiveness modeling, and judgment to thorny questions affecting the entire portfolio. You'll collaborate with grantmaking teams, communicate externally, and mentor other researchers.
What You'll Do
- Partner with grantmaking teams (e.g., Malaria, Water, Nutrition, Vaccines, Livelihoods, New Areas) to pressure-test and extend their work.
- Lead methodological projects that set standards across the department, including lookbacks, red-teaming, and exploring AI-supported enhancements; design and implement evaluation and M&E components.
