Position Overview

Navistar Financial Corporation (NFC) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Credit Consultant to support dealerships in the financing of International trucks and bus inventory which is to be sold to end user customers. This is a dynamic role with credit approval authority, focused on providing expert credit underwriting of fleet customers.

ABOUT NFC Navistar Financial Company (NFC) is the captive finance company for International Motors, LLC and the provider of International TM Financial services.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with dealerships as you assess credit requests.

• Perform in-depth financial analysis for both new and existing dealerships.

• Prepare clean, professional, and accurate credit write-ups.

• Recommend credit decisions and use your authority within our dual-signature policy.

• Communicate credit decisions clearly to dealerships and internal personnel as needed.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, including risk ratings and credit reviews.

• Gather essential due diligence and KYC (Know Your Customer) information.

• Review documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Ensure NFC security is perfected with full documentation and perfected liens.

• Develop and deliver training to enhance the skills of our credit team.

• Educate dealers on Wholesale credit expectations and requirements.

• Collaborate with management on policy updates and process improvements.

• Seek opportunities for continuous improvement.

• Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of accounting or finance experience

• At least 1 years of lead experience

• OR

• Master's degree and at least 3 years of accounting or finance experience

• At least 1 years of lead experience

• OR

• At least 8 years of accounting or finance experience

• At least 1 years of lead experience

• Additional Requirements

• Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. We do not anticipate providing employment-related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

• Desired Skills

• 3+ years of credit underwriting experience on transactions or credit lines exceeding $1 million, preferably in transportation sector.

• Strong analytical skills, business writing skills and proficiency with applications including Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and PowerBI.

• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

• Ability to effectively communicate with C-level executives and the Management/Ownership of International dealerships.

• Knowledge of transportation industry.

• Proficiency in financial statement analysis, finance documentation, and lien perfection.

• Ability to assess credit risk of dealerships with large exposure levels.

• Ability to effectively prioritize workloads which include multiple transactions
