About the Role We are seeking a Senior Counsel - Contracts & Commercial to provide result-driven, detail-oriented legal and business support for problem solving and project execution, while aligning with Clariant's processes and standards. The role requires ethical conduct, strong business orientation, and the ability to work independently in a hybrid environment. What You'll Do
- Draft, review, negotiate and finalize commercial and business-related agreements (e.g. Supply-, Distribution-, Tolling-Agreements, Confidential Disclosure Agreements, etc.), and handle M&A transactions, Joint Ventures and similar across geographies, with a focus on the EMEA region.
- Ensure efficient, consistent, and compliant agreement management per legal and organizational standards and policies.
- Advise and support Business Units and Functions.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external parties for timely contract execution.
- Collaborate with external counsel to manage litigation, ensuring timely filings and responses.
- Track regulatory updates and assess impact on business operations.
- Develop deep understanding of projects and propose legal/business risk mitigation strategies.
- Apply strategic thinking with a strong problem-solving approach.
- Demonstrate leadership acumen, stakeholder management and effective business partnering. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law from a reputed university.
- All India Bar Examination (AIBE) and enrolled with the Bar Council of India preferred, but not mandatory.
