About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Counsel to join EVERSANA's legal team to support the company’s artificial intelligence (AI) and data initiatives. The Senior Counsel will provide legal advice and risk assessment related to AI and data use across the enterprise and serve as a trusted advisor to business, product, and technology teams to enable responsible and compliant AI deployment.

What You'll Do

  • Provide expert legal counsel to various business units; draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements.

  • Identify, analyze, and assess legal risks; provide proactive advice; stay abreast of changes in laws, regulations, and industry trends.

  • Collaborate effectively with other members of the Legal and Compliance function and cross-functional teams; manage outside counsel relationships and legal expenses.

  • Provide legal advice and risk assessment on AI tools, models, and data-driven initiatives across the enterprise; identify and assess legal risks related to intellectual property, data use, privacy, regulatory compliance, and contractual exposure.

  • Serve as a legal advisor to business, product, and technology teams supporting the development and deployment of AI-enabled offerings; enable business teams to move forward with AI initiatives in a responsible, compliant, and commercially viable manner.

  • Act as a subject matter expert on AI-related legal issues, with a strong emphasis on intellectual property and data-related risks; advise on AI model development, training, data sourcing, licensing, and copyright considerations; ownership and use of AI-generated outputs; data use, access, and privacy requirements.

  • Draft, review, and negotiate agreements related to AI, technology, and data use, including technology and SaaS agreements; data usage rights, licensing, and training data provisions; AI output ownership, use restrictions, and indemnities; advise on contractual risk allocation in AI-enabled products and services.

  • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias.

  • All other duties as assigned.

  • What We're Looking For

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.

  • 10-12+ years of relevant legal experience, including advising on technology, AI, data, or intellectual property matters.

  • Strong ability to assess legal issues related to AI, data, and emerging technologies.

  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex, cross-functional legal matters and drive issues to resolution.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to deliver practical, business-oriented legal guidance.

  • Preferred: Experience working in the technology industry or with AI.
