Senior Core Network Engineer

About the Role Infostud is seeking a Senior Core Network Engineer to maintain core network services, optimize and implement network solutions, and manage incidents, while ensuring high customer satisfaction with reliable broadband service. You will also create and maintain network documentation and run small-scale network projects as needed. What You'll Do

• Maintain core network services and perform daily maintenance on core and aggregation devices
• Configure and deploy new core network services; install software updates, firmware, and security patches
• Update switches with the latest configurations; plan and test new network services
• Monitor network performance using Network Management Systems (NMS) and respond to alarms
• Plan, test, and implement network services; execute maintenance with minimal business impact
• Migrate network services and infrastructure; optimize core, aggregation, and access networks
• Prepare configurations for new core/aggregation switches; plan network expansion
• Implement scalable and resilient network solutions aligned with business requirements
• Manage and handle network incidents; provide timely incident resolution and root cause analysis
• Provide technical support to Technology Operations Centre (TOC) engineers; maintain clear communication with stakeholders
• Document network issues, corrective actions, and generate management reports; escalate to vendors when needed
• Proactively identify and mitigate potential network risks and service disruptions
• Troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and maintain service continuity
• Create and maintain up-to-date network documentation and records for incidents and planned maintenance
• Produce technical documentation for network projects and infrastructure What We're Looking For
• Bachelor's degree in the relevant field
• CCIE and CCNP certification or relevant experience in an ISP or Telecom company
• Previous experience in network engineering including design, planning, installation, testing and maintenance of IT networks
• Deep understanding of Ethernet, MPLS, IP, Routing and broadband technologies and protocols
• Hands-on network troubleshooting skills
