Job title: Senior Controls Engineer
About the Role As a Senior Controls Engineer, you will develop, maintain, and enhance applications for machine control with emphasis on the control algorithms and sensor integration. You will collaborate with hardware, software, and validation teams to deliver reliable control solutions for CNH's agricultural and construction equipment.
What You'll Do
- Research, design, develop and implement control specifications based on customers’ requirements.
- Define performance level requirements of systems (machine level) and subsystems (component level) including sensors.
- Derive dynamic models, select appropriate control algorithms, simulate, rapid prototyping, and tuning of controls.
- Use design tools for controls development and data analysis to troubleshoot problems.
- Work with cross functional hardware, software, and product validation teams as well as suppliers for development of new sensors.
- Work across multiple engineering disciplines and development teams to coordinate system definition, design, and integration.
- Responsible for individual product design alignment with multi-product architectural strategy.
- Work with product verification and validation, and/or customers to ensure system and components perform as needed.
- Demonstrates support for company culture in their daily actions.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or applied science.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Windows, Linux or Android application software development.
- Experience working in a team environment using a version control system.
- Programming experience developing applications for Windows, Android, or Linux.
- Proficient in C/C++.
- Knowledge developing for CANopen and J1939 networks.
- Knowledge and experience developing machine control systems.
- Proficiency in Qt with QtQuick (QML) is desired.
- Math background includes linear algebra and trigonometry, matrix transformations, and Euler angles.
- GNSS or machine control experience.
- Able to navigate Git, Coverity, and Jira is desirable.

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $106,725 - $163,645 per year plus any applicable bonus.
