Your responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced Senior C&I Engineer with relevant design house experience to join the C&I Engineering Department.
The successful candidate will be required to fulfil the following job description but not limited to:
- Interaction with the client and forming part of an owner’s team with the client
- Performing lead engineer role.
- Lead or participate in PFD and P&ID Reviews, HAZOP reviews, 3D model and constructability reviews
- Lead SIL Reviews
- Perform manpower planning and project schedule management for the project process team
- Preparation of Scope of Work / Works Information for supply of services and management of consultants to deliver to scope, quality and schedule.
- Execute projects within schedule and budget
- Develop the control system design for the project including control narratives and supporting documents for the control and shutdown systems.
- DCS and ESD and SCADA functional design
- Development of SIL documentation. SIL verification and functional safety design.
- Development of complex control narratives
- Instrument selection (including technology selection) and specifications
- Develop documentation for the field instrumentation design including data sheets, wiring and loop drawings and bill of quantities
The scope of this role will require the incumbent to work in a projects based environment covering all phases of project execution (feasibility, concept, basic, detail, construction support and commissioning).
The individual will engage in C&I design activities related to producing and checking C&I engineering deliverables.
The scope of this role will require the incumbent to function in a resource and/ or lead role on projects.
As a project process engineer, the individual will be responsible for C&I deliverables and quality on the project.
Your profile
- The successful candidate must be in possession of a BSc./ B.Eng. Electrical/ Electronic Engineering degree with 12-15 years engineering experience of which 8 years should be in a contracting environment working on projects in the energy and chemical/ refining / petrochemical industries.
- Lead Engineer Experience
- Professional Registration with ECSA is required.
- The successful candidate must have successfully performed in the position of lead engineer on at least 3 large projects in the basic and detail engineering phase. The candidate must have participated in commissioning and plant start-up.
