About the Role
As our new Senior Compliance Operations Specialist, you will work closely with the existing Compliance team to develop, implement and oversee our compliance framework. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide guidance to employees at all levels to ensure the organization stays compliant. This role also offers the opportunity to contribute to your own development within compliance based on your experience and interests.
What You'll Do
- Assisting with risk assessments to identify compliance risks across various business functions, jurisdictions, and legislations
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and the rest of Group Compliance to shape our compliance framework to the business
- Participate in activities to regularly monitor compliance activities across the organisation, and assess their effectiveness
- Maintain accurate records of compliance activities
- Monitor the completion of employee compliance requirements throughout the organisation
- Create planned and ad-hoc reporting and provide information on compliance topics and initiatives to various internal and external stakeholders
- Contribute to the upkeep of repositories of laws and regulations and their applicability to SimCorp’s activities
- What We're Looking For
- Have a degree in law or areas within auditing or risk
- With a minimum of two to three years of experience in compliance within a global setting. In-house counsel experience is nice to have
- Have experience with relevant compliance topics, such as market abuse, sanctions, conflict of interest, etc. – and are curious to learn about those topics, you might be less familiar with
- Have good analytical skills with attention to details
- Have advanced English communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- Have a good understanding of complex compliance cases and can balance the need for sound business advice with the need for maintaining a high standard of advice
- Solid interpersonal skills and an excellent sense of humor
- Amenable to work in EMEA time zone
- 2x RTO per week
