About the Role Senior Compensation Analyst for an 18-month contract in Calgary, Alberta, working with Finance, HR and business leaders to deliver insights that support workforce planning, compensation strategy and labor cost management. What You'll Do
- Collaborate with Finance and Human Resources teams on workforce planning, budgeting, and compensation forecasting activities.
- Support labor cost management by providing analysis and recommendations aligned with organizational objectives.
- Lead monthly compensation and workforce reporting, including variance analysis and trend identification.
- Develop meaningful insights and present findings to support informed business decisions.
- Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and reporting obligations.
- Monitor and support adherence to collective bargaining agreements and related compensation practices.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and enhanced reporting capabilities. What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in compensation analysis, workforce planning, finance analysis, or related analytical role.
- Demonstrated experience supporting compensation programs and/or collective bargaining environments.
- Strong proficiency with Adaptive Planning and workforce planning tools.
- Experience partnering with Finance (FP&A), HR, and operational leaders on budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Advanced analytical, reporting, and variance analysis capabilities.
- Ability to identify trends, interpret complex data, and deliver actionable recommendations.
- Knowledge of compensation-related legislation, reporting requirements, and compliance obligations.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and drive initiatives forward with minimal supervision.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
- Advanced proficiency with Excel and reporting systems. Compensation & Benefits
