The role

As the Senior Commercial Finance Manager for Buying and Merchandising (B&M), Wholesale, Franchise and Licensing (WFLE), and Supply Chain teams - you will business-partner with the leadership of these functions, to drive financial performance and support strategic decision making.

What you’ll be doing (key responsibilities)

• Strategic business partnering - act as the lead finance partner for the B&M, Wholesale and SC leadership teams - providing robust financial challenge, commercial insight and strategic support
• Margin and markdown management - work closely with the B&M team to optimise intake margins, monitor pricing strategies and develop data-driven markdown and promotional plans to maintain stock health and maximise the ROI from inventory
• Wholesale performance - analyse and drive global wholesale performance, supporting the commercial team to profitably scale the business and optimise our channel and customer mix
• Supply chain optimisation - work with the supply chain team to continue to optimise our supply chain operations, developing investment business cases, conducting benchmarking and cost analysis to ensure we have an efficient and scalable global network that supports faster speed to market
• Planning and forecasting - work with the FP&A function to develop enhanced budgeting and forecasting processes that provide insight into future performance and align input-kpi ownership with financial outcomes
• Team leadership - manage, mentor and develop a finance manager and finance analyst, sharing best-practices with the wider commercial finance team and fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR (SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS)

• Fully qualified, CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent
• Extensive business partnering experience within the retail industry, specifically supporting B&M/product and commercial functions
• Strong commercial acumen with a deep understanding of retail KPIs, performance drivers and the way finance can drive business performance
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence and constructively challenge senior leadership
• Advanced financial modelling skills and experience in translating complex commercial data into clear actionable insights
