Senior Color Material Finish Sustaining Engineer

About the Role Logitech is seeking a Senior Color Material Finish Sustaining Engineer to drive CMF quality in Suzhou, China. The role supports global cross-functional teams on overseas supplier transfers, manages CMF design changes to boost manufacturability, performance, quality, and cost, and contributes to sustainability initiatives such as VOC paint and PCR material phase-in.

What You'll Do

• Support global cross-functional teams for assigned supplier transfer (overseas) projects.
• Manage the update of CMF Eng design changes to improve manufacturability, performance, quality, and cost.
• Conduct supplier design reviews and support CMF specification updates for 2nd source development and cost reduction.
• Implement overarching corporate sustainability strategy (e.g., VOC paints, PCR material phase-in).
• Use project management tools and risk management techniques to create rigor in CMF part engineering design and execution.
• Independently resolve complex CMF issues and achieve CMF objectives within a project team; act as a technical expert in CMF.
• Be willing to travel overseas (e.g., Vietnam, Thailand) as needed.

What We're Looking For

• BS/BA in mechanical, chemical, or materials engineering or sciences.
• 3-5 years CMF experience, preferably in consumer products with engineering design and volume manufacturing experience.
• Proficient knowledge of various manufacturing processes; beneficial for developing new processes or materials.
• 5+ years working experience in CMF processes: painting, printing, plating, anodizing, PVD, IMD, ED, blasting, polishing, brushing, hot stamping, debossing, tool 3D texturing, lasering, etc.
• Experience in material formulation, processing and assembly: composites, metal alloys, plastics, fabrics, paints, coatings, inks, adhesives, stamping, die casting, injection molding, etc.
• 1+ year as a project engineer; project management experience is a plus.
• Mature problem-solving skills for complex technical issues.
• Willingness to travel overseas; strong Mandarin and English (reading/writing/speaking).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.

• Project management experience is a plus.
• Experience with CMF sustainability implementations (VOC, PCR) is beneficial.
