About the Role Senior Cloud Software Engineer at Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) in Dayton, OH. You will design and implement cloud-based software solutions to enable mission capabilities, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure systems. What You'll Do
- Design, develop, test, and maintain cloud-native applications and services.
- Partner with product, security, and operations teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions in AWS/Azure/GCP.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code.
- Participate in architecture decisions, code reviews, and performance optimizations.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical documentation. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; 5+ years of software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and modern devops practices.
- Familiarity with containerization, CI/CD, monitoring, and security best practices.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams. Nice to Have
- Security clearances or eligibility; prior work with DoD/government programs.
- Experience with serverless architectures, microservices, and scalable architectures. Compensation & Benefits
