We are partnering with a leading global clinical research organisation to identify an experienced Senior Clinical Project Manager in Japan.

This is a particularly strong opportunity for a Senior PM who is already operating with significant autonomy and feels ready for greater responsibility. The successful candidate will take ownership of complex clinical programs and work closely with senior delivery leadership, with the potential to progress towards Associate Project Director level.

Rather than simply joining as another Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to become a key member of the Japan delivery team, taking on meaningful responsibility and demonstrating your capability at the next level.

The Role

You will take responsibility for the successful delivery of clinical studies, coordinating cross-functional teams and ensuring programs remain on track across timelines, budgets, quality and key milestones.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading end-to-end clinical project delivery across complex studies
• Taking ownership of study timelines, budgets, risks and operational performance
• Leading and coordinating cross-functional project teams
• Acting as a key point of contact for sponsors, clients and internal stakeholders
• Identifying project risks and proactively driving solutions
• Providing senior-level oversight and ensuring projects are delivered to a high standard
• Working closely with senior project delivery leadership across Japan and the wider organisation
• Taking on increasing responsibility with the potential to develop towards Associate Project Director level

About You

We are particularly interested in speaking with candidates who bring:

• Strong experience as a Clinical Project Manager / Senior Project Manager within a CRO or pharmaceutical environment
• Demonstrated end-to-end clinical trial leadership
• Experience managing complex studies, timelines, budgets and cross-functional teams
• Strong sponsor/client-facing and stakeholder management skills
• The ability to work autonomously and take genuine ownership of project delivery
• Strong knowledge of the Japanese clinical trial environment
• The ambition and capability to progress into broader Project Director-level responsibilities.
