Job title: Senior Casualty Underwriter
About the Role Senior Casualty Underwriter at AIG will focus on underwriting new and renewal Casualty/Liabilities business to drive profitable growth. You will assess risk through broker relationships, collaborate with subject matter experts, and review claims history and company information to support sound underwriting decisions. The role also involves expanding the broker network and delivering timely, proactive service and accurate monthly management information to inform business decisions.
What You'll Do
- Underwrite new and renewal Casualty/Liabilities business to drive profitable growth.
- Assess risk through broker engagement, collaboration with subject matter experts, and review of claims history.
- Build and maintain broker relationships; provide excellent service and timely underwriting decisions.
- Generate new business by expanding broker network, attending broker events, and developing relationships across the market per the sales plan.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities across Lines of Business.
- Provide accurate monthly management information including submissions, bind rate, average premium, and total premium.
What We're Looking For
- Relevant Underwriting experience in Casualty departments; however, other relevant experience considered.
- Law or Business Administration degree preferred.
- Fluent English skills (written & spoken).
- Strong analytical, networking and relationship-building skills.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
