About the Role Hyundai's HMMA is seeking a procurement professional responsible for purchasing activities relating to supplier safety, cost, quality, delivery and service for production parts and new model parts development. The role focuses on managing S-QCDD KPIs, building and developing the supply base, negotiating, cost reduction, and collaborating with R&D and internal groups. What You'll Do
- Track, measure, and improve S-QCDD KPIs
- Manage supplier base for production parts, components, and systems
- Prepare RFIs/RFQs for multi-year full production quantities
- Negotiate long-term agreements and maintain competitive pricing
- Lead yearly cost reduction activities
- Monitor and improve supplier safety, quality, and delivery performance
- Write action reports related to corrective countermeasures for part quality defects
- Develop parts together with suppliers and collaborate with R&D during product development stages
- Formulate and implement yearly commodity and supply base strategy
- Explore technology and implement best practices in purchasing
- Evaluate part designs with engineering, quality, and suppliers to optimize efficiencies
- Plan, organize, track, and disseminate information related to production suppliers
- Maintain up-to-date supply base information database
- Conduct localization activities and source local suppliers for new/existing projects
- Align business plan themes and mature negotiation performance and cost management operating model
- Collaborate with internal and external groups, manage stakeholders, and resolve issues
- Ensure competitive, impartial supplier treatment
- Perform cost studies with comparative analysis
- Ensure design changes are approved through 4M HMMA process
- Work with suppliers to optimize processes using PDCA and implement countermeasures
- Administer compliance with BMS, EMS, and SMS requirements What We're Looking For
- Extensive experience in automotive procurement, supplier quality, cost management, and supplier development
- Ability to lead cross-functional collaboration with R&D, engineering, and quality teams
- Strong problem solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities
- Familiarity with PDCA, 4M processes, and advanced problem analysis
- Localization experience is a plus
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
