About the Role Johnson Controls is seeking a Senior Buyer to join its Indirect Procurement team. In this role, you will serve as a procurement business partner, interfacing with one or more business units to deploy category strategies, programs, and corporate initiatives. You will support New Product Introduction (NPI) projects by enabling Engineering teams through timely sourcing, supplier engagement, and contract execution to ensure successful product development and launch.
What You'll Do
- Act as a procurement business partner, interfacing with business units to deploy category strategies, programs, and corporate initiatives.
- Lead sourcing initiatives, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost savings and working capital improvements across manufacturing plants, distribution centers, and corporate offices.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) projects with timely sourcing, supplier engagement, and contract execution to ensure successful product development and launch.
- Develop and execute indirect procurement strategies, monitor supplier performance and risk, and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Legal, Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure timely contract negotiation and procurement compliance.
- Drive day-to-day supply continuity and process improvements across the organization.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in indirect procurement and acting as a procurement business partner across one or more business units.
- Ability to lead sourcing initiatives, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost savings and working capital improvements.
- Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) projects with sourcing, supplier engagement, and contract execution.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

- Experience in industries such as data centers, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, advanced manufacturing, or higher education.
