We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Systems Engineer specializing in Salesforce CPQ to serve as a technical subject matter expert for the Salesforce CPQ platform. This role will design, configure, develop, and support scalable CPQ solutions that enable accurate product configuration, pricing, discounting, approvals, and quote generation.

The position will partner closely with Sales, Revenue Operations, Finance, and other business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective Salesforce CPQ solutions. This is a senior individual contributor role focused on Salesforce CPQ architecture, development, enhancements, deployments, and ongoing support.

What You'll Do

  • Design, configure, and maintain Salesforce CPQ solutions, including product configuration, pricing, discounting, approval rules, and quote templates.

  • Develop scalable solutions using Salesforce technologies such as Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow, and Visualforce, as appropriate.

  • Configure and support Salesforce CPQ features, including product rules, price rules, discount schedules, bundles, contracted pricing, and Advanced Approvals.

  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements, evaluate options, and deliver solutions that support Sales and business growth.

  • Own CPQ enhancements from technical design and development through testing, deployment, documentation, and ongoing support.

  • Troubleshoot CPQ issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions.

  • Maintain system performance, data integrity, security, and usability within Salesforce CPQ.

  • Support release management and deployments using Salesforce development tools, source control, and established change management practices.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, configuration standards, and solution design documentation.

  • Collaborate with teams that own adjacent Salesforce capabilities and enterprise systems when CPQ changes require cross-functional coordination.

  • What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience working with Salesforce, including significant hands-on experience with Salesforce CPQ.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience designing, configuring, developing, and supporting Salesforce CPQ solutions.

  • Strong knowledge of the Salesforce CPQ object model, product configuration, product rules, price rules, discounting, bundles, approvals, and quote templates.

  • Experience with Salesforce Advanced Approvals.

  • Proficiency with Salesforce technologies, including Flow, Apex, SOQL, Lightning Web Components, and Salesforce security concepts.

  • Experience managing Salesforce deployments through established development, testing, source control, and release management practices.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working directly with business stakeholders and cross-functional technology teams.

  • Salesforce CPQ certification or relevant Salesforce certifications.

  • Experience supporting complex product catalogs, pricing models, discounting structures, and approval processes.

  • Experience working in a high-growth or rapidly changing business environment.

  • Experience with Salesforce DevOps tools, Git, and CI/CD practices.

  • The posted pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the compensation for this position and is subject to change based on business need. To determine a successful candidate’s starting pay, we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location, an evaluation of the candidate’s skills and experience, market demands, and internal parity.

  • For roles with on-target-earnings (OTE), the pay range includes both base salary and target incentive compensation. Target incentive compensation for some roles may include a ramping draw period. Compensation is higher for those who exceed targets. Candidates may receive more information from the recruiter.
