Senior Business Intelligence Engineer

Reporting to the Business Intelligence Principal, the Senior Business Intelligence Engineer solves complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer describes the tools, technologies, applications and practices used to collect, integrate, analyze, and present an organization's raw data in order to create insightful and actionable business information. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and at least 3 years of technical experience in analytics OR a Master's Degree and at least 1 year of experience
  • You have intermediate python/pyspark experience in Databricks
  • You have experience designing data models, taxonomies, or schemas, versioning and conflict/precedence rules
  • You have intermediate Power BI + Power Apps, including DAX, semantic modeling, and performance tuning
  • You have experience with front-end UI development with TypeScript (Angular or React) or Python (Streamlit, Dash, etc.)
  • While this role is fully remote, it will operate on CST/EST standard business hours.
  • This position requires learning many systems, policies, and tools, and it takes time to become proficient in the role. Must be willing to remain in this position for a period of twelve (12) months before applying to other opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Full-stack development experience connecting front-end applications to back-end data stores
  • Intermediate Power Automate experience
  • UX and information architecture judgment for dense, expert-user applications
  • Proficiency in understanding Healthcare related data

Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

  • Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to offices for training or meetings may be required.

  • Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

  • Pay Range: The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

  • $89,000 - $121,400 per year

  • This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
