Senior Business Analyst - Trade Management (SABRE)

About this role

About the Role The role sits in the Trade Management team focusing on the build out of the in-house strategic cross asset risk platform SABRE, a bank-wide platform for trade processing, valuation and market data. The initial focus is on onboarding new products, driving enhancement solutions, planning project timelines and coordinating with users and developers to achieve the desired outcome. The role also provides third-level business support for issues in trade replication and implements project enhancements for Front Office traders' requirements.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate with stakeholders from various project teams to agree timelines and funding, and manage governance with the technical development manager.
  • Coordinate with cross-discipline team members to ensure alignment with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.
  • Document actions from workshops and assist with tracking deliverables.
  • Prepare Gap Analyses, Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and Project Approval Requests.
  • Work closely with SMEs to understand business processes.
  • Document and raise Risks and Issues to Product Owners, Business Owners and Program Management.
  • Participate in project testing cycles and assist with test packs.
  • Understand current systems and processes and propose system/process improvements.
  • Provide third-level business support for issues in trade replication and deliver enhancements for Front Office traders' requirements.
  • Focus on Trade Data Store (TDS2) and trading data concepts, with emphasis on FX and IR products as described in the posting.

What We're Looking For

  • 8-12 years' experience with business analysis, solution design and end-to-end delivery in the Financial Markets.
  • Deep experience in at least one of the following mandatory domains: Equities and Fixed Income; Commodities (especially Precious & Base Metals); FX Options (FXO) strategies and structures.
  • Some technical background in analyzing or reviewing code changes.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge and experience of Agile development practices.
  • Ability to work proactively, independently and with strong initiative.
  • Meticulous maintenance of project artifacts, discussions, risks, and functional specifications.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with excellent English.
  • Certifications such as Scrum Master, Product Owner or PMP are a plus.
  • Knowledge or experience of large-scale financial markets technology platforms is a plus.
  • Experience in Trade Surveillance and Market Abuse Regulations is a plus.
