Job Summary

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst with extensive experience in the insurance domain, particularly in Life Insurance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in policy servicing business processes and systems, with a proven track record in transformation initiatives. Experience with HSBC systems and operations is preferred, as is the ability to effectively manage senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Product Owner, leading the development and enhancement of insurance policy servicing systems.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications and user stories for development teams.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Facilitate workshops and meetings to drive consensus among stakeholders.
• Conduct impact analysis and risk assessments for proposed changes to business processes.
• Support the testing and validation of new systems and processes to ensure they meet business requirements.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead transformation initiatives.

Mandatory Skills:

• Proven experience in Business Analysis within the insurance sector, specifically in Life Insurance.
• Strong understanding of policy servicing business processes and related systems.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders effectively.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with HSBC systems and familiarity with their operational methodologies.
• Background in transformation projects within the insurance domain.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience in working in Agile environments.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.

• 7 10 years of experience in Business Analysis, with a focus on the insurance industry.

• Relevant certifications in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI PBA) are a plus.
