Senior Business Analyst (Contract)

Location: Coppell, TX (3 days per week onsite: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

Pay Range: $68-$78/hr (based on experience and engagement type)

Contract Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to partner with business stakeholders and Product Owners to gather requirements, translate business needs into actionable user stories, and support the delivery of impactful solutions within back-office accounting applications. This role requires strong analytical skills, a data-driven mindset, and the ability to work effectively in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document requirements.

• Translate business requirements into detailed user stories and maintain a healthy product backlog.

• Define acceptance criteria and work closely with cross-functional teams throughout the SDLC.

• Create process flows, mockups, and workflow documentation as needed.

• Partner with development and QA teams to clarify requirements and support testing efforts.

• Serve as a key point of contact during User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• Identify process improvement opportunities and help drive operational efficiency.

• Participate in stakeholder interviews and facilitate requirement-gathering sessions.

• Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of Business Analysis experience within the SDLC.

• Strong experience gathering requirements and decomposing work into detailed user stories.

• Experience working on data-intensive projects.

• Ability to write and analyze SQL queries to investigate data and identify discrepancies.

• Agile/Scrum experience with backlog management and user story creation.

• UAT testing experience.

• Business process analysis and documentation expertise.

• Experience creating process flows using Visio or similar tools.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Strong attention to detail and critical thinking abilities.

• Experience or exposure to AI-related initiatives is a plus.
