We are seeking an experienced and service-driven Senior Banqueting Waitron to support the successful delivery of conferences, meetings, weddings, and special events. The successful candidate will play a leading role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences by coordinating service activities, assisting with event setup and execution, and providing guidance and support to Banqueting Waitrons and casual staff.

This role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced events environment. The Senior Banqueting Waitron will assist in maintaining the highest service standards while supporting the Banqueting leadership team in the smooth operation of all functions. Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of duties. Team members are expected to support the business as required.

Operational Excellence

• Set up and prepare function rooms according to event specifications and standards.
• Ensure all banquet areas are fully prepared and operational before guest arrival.
• Deliver professional, friendly, and efficient food and beverage service.
• Monitor service quality throughout events and assist in resolving guest concerns promptly.
• Ensure all banquet equipment, furniture, and operating supplies are correctly handled and maintained.
• Assist with clearing, resetting, and closing function venues after events.

Leadership and Team Support

• Act as a lead waitron during functions and assist in coordinating service activities.
• Support Supervisors with briefing team members before events.
• Guide and mentor new Banqueting Waitrons and casual staff.
• Ensure team members maintain company grooming and presentation standards.
• Assist in allocating workstations and service sections during events.
• Provide feedback to Supervisors regarding team performance and operational improvements.

Guest Experience

• Build positive relationships with guests and event organizers.
• Anticipate guest needs and respond proactively to requests.
• Ensure hosts and organizers receive attentive and personalized service.
• Promote hotel facilities and services where appropriate.

Compliance and Safety

• Adhere to all hotel policies, procedures, and service standards.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, health, and safety requirements at all times.
• Ensure a safe working environment for guests and colleagues.
• Report hazards, incidents, or maintenance concerns immediately.

Sales and Business Support

• Identify opportunities to enhance guest experiences and generate repeat business.
• Support the Banqueting team in maximizing event revenue through exceptional service delivery.
• Assist Sales and Operations teams during inspections and client visits when required.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 certificate.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in Food & Beverage or Banqueting service.
• Previous experience in conferences, events, or hospitality operations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead by example and support team development.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Customer-focused with excellent attention to detail.
