About this role
Micro1 is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our remote team. This role focuses on delivering robust backend systems with strong emphasis on DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and reliable operations. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience across multiple backend languages, solid understanding of networking and storage concepts, and a proactive approach to automation and disaster recovery.
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and optimize backend services and APIs using one or more of the following languages: C++, Python, Rust, Go, Java, or JavaScript.
- Design and implement scalable cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools to improve reliability and deployment speed.
- Apply best practices in networking, identity and access management (IAM), messaging queues, durable storage, and disaster recovery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability of systems.
- Continuously improve performance, security, and operational efficiency of backend components.
Requirements
- Proven expertise with backend programming languages such as C++, Python, Rust, Go, Java, or JavaScript.
- Strong practical experience with DevOps, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.
- Deep understanding of networking, IAM, queues, durable storage, and disaster recovery concepts.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote setting and communicate clearly with distributed team members.
- Self-motivated, proactive problem-solver with a focus on delivering reliable software solutions.
Compensation and work arrangement:
- This is a remote position with pay in the range of $50 to $100 per hour.
