Job title: Senior Backend Engineer
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain backend services and web applications.
- Build real-time tools for communicating with patients by voice and SMS.
- Create resilient workflows for long-running tasks and background processing.
- Collaborate with frontend, product and infrastructure teams to deliver dependable systems that meet healthcare compliance requirements.
Skillset:
- Proven experience developing reliable backend applications in healthcare, finance or another regulated sector.
- Strong backend development skills in TypeScript or Python.
- Experience working with Node.js APIs and technologies such as Express, Mongoose and Twilio.
- Familiarity with Temporal or another platform for managing distributed workflows.
- A solid understanding of distributed systems, including retries, idempotency and handling failures.
- Experience with EHR integrations, HL7 or FHIR, cloud platforms, CI/CD, observability or monorepos is an advantage.
Benefits
- Salary: $160k – $200k DOE.
