Senior Backend Engineer
We are hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to take ownership of backend services and APIs, maintain integrations, and ensure reliable, secure data and publishing pipelines for a newsroom environment.
Responsibilities
- Service ownership: take over and own the backend services and APIs handed over from the partner.
- Integrations: maintain the integrations between the platform, the CMS and the internal tools.
- Pipeline reliability: keep data flows, the publishing pipeline and third-party integrations running reliably.
- Security: own authentication and authorisation across the CMS and internal tools, secrets management, audit logging, dependency hygiene, and protections specific to a newsroom such as embargoed content and unpublished stories.
