About the Role Teal Media is looking for a Senior Backend Developer who is a thoughtful problem-solver and hands-on builder. This client-facing technical lead partners with designers, frontend developers, and strategists to architect, build, and evolve WordPress and other platforms for our clients. You bring years or decades of backend expertise, take ownership of technical decisions, and enjoy translating complex client needs into reliable, scalable solutions.

What We're Looking For
- Extensive backend development experience (years or decades)
- Experience leading technical work and owning architectural decisions
- Proficiency with WordPress and other platforms; ability to architect and implement backend systems
- Strong collaboration and communication with cross-functional teams (designers, frontend developers, strategists)
- Client-facing experience and ability to translate client needs into technical solutions
- Adaptable and motivated by supporting mission-driven organizations
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $115,000 – $135,000 USD per year
- Location: Remote (United States-based work authorization required)
