About this role
Senior B2B & B2C Content Writer (Freelance, Remote)
Engagement: Freelance contract, ongoing
Location: Remote, APAC, Europe and South Africa
Schedule: Fully flexible, no fixed hours or timezone overlap
About the client
Our client is a fast-growing SEO content agency working with B2B and B2C brands in Singapore, the UAE, Australia, the US, the UK and Europe, from enterprises to SMEs. Their clients span cybersecurity, insurance, fintech, education, automotive and consumer products.
They are growing faster than their writer roster and are looking for senior writers who can produce genuinely original, well-researched content. They want writing that stands out from generic AI output.
What you’ll do
-
Write publish-ready blog articles and commercial pages from detailed SEO briefs. Each brief includes an outline, target keywords, search intent and internal link recommendations.
-
Read every brief critically. Improve the structure where the flow is weak, merge overlapping sections, add what’s missing, and drop links that don’t belong.
-
Research the client and the topic before writing: their website, guidelines, products, competitors and industry sources. Cite only credible sources you have actually read.
-
Adapt your voice to each client and audience, from technical B2B to consumer brands.
-
Use AI tools to speed up research and refine your drafts, while the thinking and the first draft stay yours.
-
Handle client feedback independently and keep every piece consistent with the client’s and the agency’s guidelines.
What we’re looking for
-
8+ years of professional content writing, with a career that started before generative AI.
-
SEO long-form experience: You’ve written long-form articles from SEO briefs and understand keywords, search intent, and how content needs to perform in AI-powered search (GEO).
-
Technical or regulated-industry experience: Ideally you have written long-form content for cybersecurity, fintech or investment, insurance, software/SaaS, automotive or a similar complex field, and you can explain complex topics to non-experts.
-
Versatile voice: You can move between a technical tone and an engaging, reader-focused one that shows the reader why it matters to them, not just how something works.
-
Strong research habits: You read reports, documentation and competitor content before writing, and you know what needs a citation.
-
Fluent professional English: Native level is not required, but your writing must be publish-ready.
-
A thoughtful AI workflow: You can explain how you prompt, fact-check and spot hallucinations, and you can recognise and rewrite AI-sounding text.
-
Agency pace: You deliver an article in 4–5 days and reply within 1–2 working days.
-
Ownership: You flag risks to deadlines early and handle feedback without hand-holding.
Nice to have: experience with MCPs or data connectors in Claude or similar tools, a portfolio across several industries, and published long-form articles on LinkedIn.
What’s in it for you
-
Steady, long-term work with volume that grows with your quality.
-
Proper briefs: SEO briefs, client materials, clear timelines and precise editorial feedback.
-
Varied clients across industries and markets.
-
A forward-thinking team that works with Claude, MCPs and modern content workflows every day.
-
Full flexibility: Work when and where you want, as long as you deliver on time.
-
Quality is rewarded: The strongest writers are first in line for more work and rate reviews.
Hiring process
-
Writing samples. Share 2–3 recently published long-form pieces, including at least one written for a consumer (B2C) audience.
-
Short screening with our team: We’ll ask about your research process, your AI workflow and two long-form samples you’re most proud of.
-
Paid test assignment: This is a real client piece, managed by email. Use of AI is welcome, and you’ll be asked to share your AI chats.
-
Decision within one week of submission.
-
Contract and onboarding, followed by a 90-day probation period.
📌There are no multi-round interviews.
