Data - Business Technology Analyst

Role Overview
An organization is seeking a Business Technology Analyst to develop and support automated workflows, internal applications, system integrations, and reporting solutions that improve business operations. This position focuses on supporting the modernization and migration of existing solutions by documenting business requirements, developing replacement capabilities using shared platforms, and supporting testing and implementation. Collaborating with business stakeholders and technical partners, this position delivers reliable, user-friendly solutions and supports their ongoing operation and improvement.
Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated workflows, forms, and internal web applications to streamline business operations and improve user experience.

Assess and document existing SharePoint and Nintex solutions, including business rules, data structures, permissions, integrations, and dependencies, to support migration planning.

Assist with migrating legacy forms and workflows to modern solutions using established platforms and reusable components.

Build and maintain data pipelines and system integrations using SQL, APIs, and scripting or programming languages.

Develop and support reports and dashboards using tools such as Tableau and Business Objects to maintain reporting accuracy and continuity.

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, document current and future processes, and define acceptance criteria.

Monitor and troubleshoot applications, workflows, and integrations to maintain reliability and resolve technical issues.

Maintain technical and user documentation, and contribute reusable components, templates, and implementation guidance.

Required Qualifications
-
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Experience: 3+ years of experience in automation, business systems, application development, data integration, or related roles, including delivering and supporting solutions used in a business environment.

Technical
Skills
-
Strong SQL skills for querying, transforming, and validating data. Experience working with APIs, JSON, XML, and system integrations. Hands-on experience developing or modifying web-based forms or internal applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript or TypeScript. Working knowledge of SharePoint lists, libraries, forms, permissions, and data structures. Familiarity with reporting and visualization tools such as Tableau, Business Objects, or comparable platforms, and version control systems like Git.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Python, PowerShell, or C# for automation, data processing, or backend services.

Experience with React or a comparable frontend framework, including integrating applications with APIs.

Experience building or supporting automated workflows and forms using Nintex, Power Automate, or comparable technologies.

Familiarity with deployment pipelines, automated testing, and development, test, and production environments.

Experience using AI-assisted development tools for coding, troubleshooting, testing, or documentation.

Experience working with data warehouses, data lakes, or Agile methodologies.
