About the Role
The Senior Audit Officer on the Performance Audit Team will plan, conduct fieldwork, and report on performance audits in accordance with professional standards and Office methodology. This role directly reports to an Audit Principal and may involve coaching or mentoring junior staff. Limited travel within Nova Scotia may be required. What You'll Do
- Plan, conduct and report on performance audits in accordance with professional standards and Office methodology.
- Develop detailed audit plans, document and evaluate systems, test transactions, and synthesize findings.
- Write report sections and present findings; provide coaching/mentoring to junior staff.
- Travel within Nova Scotia as required. What We're Looking For
- CPA designation or expect to obtain within 3-6 months; internationally trained accountants with equivalent recognition encouraged to apply.
- Experience in internal audit, program evaluation, policy analysis, performance measurement, or related analytical techniques.
- Experience in reporting/presenting research and analysis in written documents.
- Collaboration experience in working groups/projects; ability to brief management on results verbally and in writing.
- Excellent time management and ability to meet budgets and deadlines; strong analytical skills; proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word). Nice to Have
- Knowledge of SAP and CAAT software.
- Knowledge of CSAE.
- Experience in health administration or public health. Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $3,247.28 - $4,059.12 bi-weekly.
