About the Role Join Amgen’s mission to serve patients by contributing to Real-World Evidence (RWE) initiatives. This Senior Associate role focuses on RWE application development, front-end improvements for R Shiny apps, and web-based solutions within the CfOR context. You will collaborate with stakeholders, drive CI/CD processes, and help optimize data workflows to enable efficient data processing and analysis.
What You'll Do
- Enhance and support existing R Shiny applications with a focus on front-end improvements
- Provide support for the Atlas web-based application from the OHDSI community
- Develop and implement web solutions using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Participate in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes
- Manage and optimize data workflows to support efficient data processing and analysis
- Maintain clear and effective communication with team members and stakeholders
- Provide technical solutions to programming problems within CfOR
- Lead and develop technical programming and process improvement initiatives within CfOR
- Represent the programming function and participate in multidisciplinary project team meetings
- Project manage all programming activities, according to agreed resource and timeline plans
- Ensure all programming activities on the project adhere to departmental standards
- Provide input to and participate in intra-departmental and CfOR meetings
- Stay updated with R programming trends and integrate new technologies as needed
- Establish coding standards and best practices for R package and R Shiny development
- Optimize performance and refactor code to enhance efficiency and reliability
- Validation and testing software tools
What We're Looking For
- Ability to generate Real-World Evidence (RWE) to support Amgen products throughout the drug development lifecycle
- Strong programming skills in R and experience with R Shiny
- Experience developing web solutions using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and translate requirements into technical solutions
- Experience with CI/CD and data workflows
- Experience leading technical programming and process improvement initiatives within CfOR
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Familiarity with the Atlas OHDSI web-based tool
