Job title: Senior Associate - Assurance

Baker Tilly is seeking a Senior Associate in Assurance to deliver industry-focused audit and other assurance services to middle-market clients. What You'll Do

• Be a trusted member of the engagement team providing assurance and consulting services to industry-specific clients.
• Proactively engage with clients throughout the year to gather needed information to complete testing and respond to questions raised.
• Plan and supervise the execution of all audit engagement activities.
• Review and perform substantive testing on client’s balance sheets and income statements.
• Conduct and review tests to assess deficiencies of internal controls and make recommendations for improvement.
• Play an active role in discussions with the Manager and Partner relative to business recommendations resulting from testing performed and information gathered.
• Learn and grow from direct on the job coaching and mentoring along with participating in firm wide learning and development programs.
• Utilize your entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and with your clients.
• Support the growth and development of team members through the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy, helping associates meet their professional goals.

What We're Looking For

• 4-year degree; CPA eligible.
• 3 years of experience.
• CPA preferred or actively pursuing completion of exam.
• 2+ years of experience providing financial statement auditing services within a public accounting firm.
• Experience supporting SEC clients or Real Estate clients.
• Demonstrated skills in time management, communication, interpersonal skills, relationship building, collaboration, problem solving, leadership, project management, organizational and analytical skills, initiative, adaptability.
• Microsoft Office skills.
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship preferred.

Nice to Have

• CPA preferred or actively pursuing completion of exam.
• Experience supporting SEC clients or Real Estate clients.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $78,000 - $103,940 per year USD.
