About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Application Engineer — Cybersecurity SaaS to contribute to the continued development and commercialization of our cloud-native cybersecurity platform.

This is a hands-on engineering role involving backend services, application functionality, security integrations, data processing, and customer-facing SaaS capabilities.

he successful candidate will work within an existing application architecture, collaborating with AI and cloud infrastructure engineers to enhance product functionality, reliability, security, and scalability.

We are looking for someone who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges and can translate business and product requirements into dependable software.

Key Responsibilities

Application Engineering

• Develop, enhance, and maintain core SaaS application capabilities.

• Design and implement scalable backend services and APIs.

• Develop customer-facing application functionality and workflows.

• Improve application performance, reliability, and maintainability.

• Design and optimize application data models and processing mechanisms.

• Implement secure authentication, authorization, and access controls.

• Contribute to application architecture and technical documentation.

Security Assessment Integration

• Develop and enhance integrations with security assessment and scanning technologies.

• Implement workflows for asset discovery, vulnerability assessment, and security analysis.

• Build mechanisms for collecting, processing, and normalizing security findings.

• Develop reliable scanning orchestration, scheduling, and execution management capabilities.

• Implement secure and scalable processing of security assessment results.

• Support integration with external security platforms and enterprise systems.

• Enhance asset inventory, exposure management, and vulnerability tracking functionality.

SaaS Platform Development

• Develop and enhance multi-tenant application capabilities.

• Implement customer onboarding and tenant administration workflows.

• Support secure tenant isolation and role-based access controls.

• Develop subscription management and usage-based service capabilities.

• Implement customer configuration, reporting, and administrative functionality.

• Support scalable application operations and customer lifecycle management.

Risk Management and Reporting

• Develop dashboards and analytical interfaces for security findings.

• Enhance vulnerability and exposure management workflows.

• Implement risk tracking, remediation management, and validation capabilities.

• Develop reporting, data visualization, and export functionality.

• Integrate AI-powered insights into customer-facing application features.

• Improve application usability and overall customer experience.

Engineering Quality and Production Readiness

• Develop reliable, maintainable, and well-tested application components.

• Implement automated testing and quality assurance practices.

• Collaborate with infrastructure engineers on application deployment and operations.

• Identify and resolve performance, security, and reliability issues.

• Contribute to engineering standards and development best practices.

• Support production releases and customer onboarding.

Required Qualifications

• Significant professional experience developing production software applications.

• Strong backend application development experience.

• Experience designing and implementing APIs and service integrations.

• Proficiency in modern application development technologies.

• Experience working with relational databases and data-intensive applications.

• Understanding of secure application development principles.

• Experience building or maintaining scalable SaaS platforms.

• Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and containerized applications.

• Experience integrating external systems, services, or software components.

• Ability to independently deliver reliable, production-ready application functionality.

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing cybersecurity or security management applications.

• Familiarity with security assessment, vulnerability management, or exposure analysis.

• Experience integrating scanning engines or security analysis technologies.

• Knowledge of multi-tenant SaaS architecture.

• Experience developing analytical dashboards and reporting applications.

• Familiarity with subscription management and customer lifecycle workflows.

• Experience working with distributed systems and asynchronous processing.

• Previous experience in startup or early-stage product development.
