Job title: Senior Analyst, Financial Reporting
About the Role Under general supervision (but works independently most of the time) the Senior Analyst is responsible for processing and handling transactions for the Financial Reporting group within Asset Servicing. The role supports valuation reporting and unitized valuation and reporting, collaborating with global partners to support Northern Trust business.
What You'll Do
- Escalate relevant and critical issues to management and all required partner areas in a timely manner
- Prepare and/or review deliverables
- Follow core procedures, checklists, and client-specific procedures on a daily and monthly basis
- Perform complex activities with significant financial, client, and internal business impact
- Interact with Senior Management and/or external auditors of clients
- Serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to junior staff
- Manage daily operational activities and supervise day-to-day work of junior employees (not a formal management role), including interaction with home country counterparts
- Demonstrate technical proficiency and broader knowledge across related areas
- Deliver work products that require minimal revision
What We're Looking For
- At least 2 years of experience in financial statement preparation or financial reporting in an Audit Firm or financial institution
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA certification highly desirable
- Background in accounting/regulatory/statutory reporting preferred
- Ability to work within a flexible schedule (7AM–4PM or 11AM–8PM depending on FR team)
