About this role
Job title: Senior AMS Verification Engineer
About the Role We are building next-generation 50G/100G optical link solutions and seek a Senior AMS Verification Engineer to implement and verify high-speed analog and mixed-signal circuits for photonics-based SerDes and electronic ICs (EICs). You will collaborate with photonics, system, packaging, and validation teams to deliver scalable, low-power, high-performance interfaces for optical compute and interconnects.
What You'll Do
- Perform top-down architectural analysis of AMS systems and translate requirements into verification plans.
- Develop understanding of the digital and photonics subsystems and the AMS sub-system interfaces with them.
- Evaluate and compare analog topologies to support AI application requirements; apply digitally assisted analog techniques and appropriate partitioning of analog and digital circuits.
- Drive transistor-level feasibility studies for AMS circuits; define design specifications and verification plans; define production and bench-level test plans.
- Develop and implement mixed-signal verification for silicon photonics-based SerDes; design and develop verification testbenches using industry-standard verification languages and methodologies.
- Write and execute test cases to verify analog circuits for functionality, performance, and reliability.
- Review verification results and provide feedback to design teams; maintain detailed documentation of verification plans, test results, and design changes.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with 12+ years of experience in high-performance analog/mixed-signal design and verification.
- Experience with architecture, design, and production expertise in: high-speed data converter architectures and circuits; ultra-low-power analog circuits; digitally assisted analog circuits.
- Solid experience with EDA CAD tools such as Cadence Virtuoso or SimVision.
- Fundamentals in: detailed transistor-level design; working with design, layout, and production test engineers; high-precision analog circuits (including linear regulators, current sensors, bandgaps, DAC, and ADC); RF/high-speed broadband techniques; MATLAB/Simulink/Verilog-A modeling.
- Excellent communication skills to work with multiple domain experts (digital/VLSI, AI/ML, photonics, and packaging); strong debugging, problem-solving and analytical abilities; eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive compensation and great benefits in a collaborative, transparent, and inclusive environment.
- Additional information on career growth and work-life balance is available via Marvell’s Careers page.
