Senior AI R&D Architect (Contract)
Fully Remote – Nigeria Salary: ₦1,000,000 Monthly
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Define and lead the company's AI architecture, technical vision, and roadmap.
- Research, evaluate, and implement emerging AI models, tools, and technologies.
- Design and deploy LLMs, RAG pipelines, AI agents, fine-tuning workflows, and machine learning systems.
- Establish MLOps/LLMOps standards, including model monitoring, CI/CD, and performance optimization.
- Drive AI model evaluation, security, governance, and responsible AI practices.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and data teams to deliver AI-powered solutions.
- Lead architecture reviews, establish technical standards, and mentor AI engineers and researchers.
Requirements

5+ years of experience in Software, Machine Learning, or Data Engineering.

At least 3 years of experience designing and deploying production-grade AI/ML systems.

Strong expertise in LLMs, Generative AI, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and AI agent frameworks.

Proficiency in Python, PyTorch, and Hugging Face (and clearly stated on your CV).

Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, Kubernetes, containerization, and GPU/inference optimization.

Strong knowledge of model evaluation, MLOps/LLMOps, AI security, and responsible AI.

Proven ability to lead AI research and development from concept to production.
