Position Summary

The Senior AI Engineer will help design and build the enterprise foundation used to develop, deploy, and support AI assistants and autonomous agents across the organization. This person will work closely with the AI architect, engineering teams, business partners, and technology leadership to turn emerging AI opportunities into secure, practical solutions.

The ideal candidate combines hands-on AI engineering experience with curiosity, adaptability, and a continuous-learning mindset. This is a rapidly evolving environment, so the successful candidate must be comfortable testing new approaches, solving ambiguous problems, and adjusting as technologies and use cases develop.

Key Responsibilities

• Help design and build a secure, scalable enterprise foundation for AI assistants and autonomous agents.

• Develop AI agents that support business operations, internal productivity, new products, and other organizational use cases.

• Partner with the AI architect to translate architectural direction into working solutions.

• Collaborate with business and IT teams to identify, refine, and implement appropriate AI use cases.

• Build prototypes and proofs of concept to test technical feasibility and business value.

• Support the deployment, integration, testing, and ongoing improvement of AI solutions.

• Apply security, privacy, governance, and responsible AI considerations throughout the development lifecycle.

• Evaluate new AI capabilities and recommend practical ways to incorporate them into the organization’s platform.

• Clearly communicate technical decisions, risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

• Contribute reusable patterns, documentation, and development standards that other teams can follow.

• Required Qualifications

• Professional experience designing or developing AI, machine learning, generative AI, or intelligent automation solutions.

• Hands-on experience building AI-powered applications, assistants, agents, or related capabilities.

• Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience delivering production-quality solutions.

• Experience integrating AI capabilities with enterprise applications, services, APIs, and data sources.

• Understanding of application security, data protection, access control, and responsible AI practices.

• Ability to move from proof of concept to practical implementation.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work effectively in an environment where requirements and technologies continue to evolve.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Willingness to work remotely while attending Capella Tower when needed.

• Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building autonomous or semi-autonomous AI agents.

• Experience creating shared AI platforms, frameworks, reusable services, or development standards.

• Experience supporting enterprise-scale AI adoption.

• Experience working with architects, product teams, information security, governance teams, and business stakeholders.

• Experience evaluating emerging AI tools and translating them into practical use cases.

• Demonstrated interest in continuous learning, experimentation, and innovation.
