Senior AI Business Systems Analyst

Location: Hybrid Remote, will need to come onsite in Charlotte, NC 2-4 times per month

Overview

Our client is seeking a Senior AI Business Systems Analyst to support enterprise AI, API, integration, and data initiatives. This individual will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders, product teams, and developers, helping translate business needs into scalable technical solutions while ensuring projects align with product strategy and operational best practices.

The ideal candidate has strong business analysis experience, is comfortable discussing AI-enabled solutions, and possesses strong hands-on experience with Azure API Management, Azure Application Insights, and enterprise integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, technical, and operational requirements

• Facilitate discussions between business stakeholders and technical teams to drive informed decision-making

• Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and implementation-ready requirements

• Support enterprise API and integration initiatives utilizing Azure API Management

• Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and scalability

• Help maintain reusable application and product templates versus one-off custom solutions

• Partner with product owners, architects, and developers throughout the software development lifecycle

• Support testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), release readiness, and change management activities

• Leverage Application Insights and Azure monitoring tools to analyze application usage, operational trends, and business impact

• Define requirements for Power BI dashboards and operational reporting

• Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or related experience

• Experience supporting enterprise applications, APIs, integrations, or digital transformation initiatives

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

• Experience translating technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences

• Hands-on experience with Azure API Management

• Experience with Azure Application Insights, Azure Monitor, or similar logging/telemetry tools

• Experience writing user stories, process flows, business requirements, and acceptance criteria

• Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments

• Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, system integrations, and data flows

• Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting AI-enabled applications or AI product initiatives

• Familiarity with Azure AI Foundry or cloud-based AI services

• Experience creating requirements for Power BI dashboards and analytics

• Prior software development or engineering background

• CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, or similar certifications

• Experience with cloud platforms, automation, enterprise integrations, and data analytics
