Job Description

As a Senior Advanced Systems Engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and integrating advanced aerospace systems that push the boundaries of technology and performance. You will work on cutting-edge projects that enhance the safety, efficiency, and capabilities of aircraft systems.

You will report directly to our Engineering Program Manager and you’ll work out of our Torrance, CA location on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the development of innovative aerospace solutions that support the next generation of aviation technology, ensuring system reliability and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and integration of advanced aerospace systems ensuring compliance with technical and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop system requirements, architectures, and verification plans.
  • Drive innovation by applying advanced engineering principles and emerging technologies to solve complex aerospace challenges.

Qualifications

  • YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics

  • 5 or more years of experience in advanced systems engineering within aerospace or related industries

  • Strong knowledge of systems design, integration, and verification processes with a focus on aerospace applications

  • Proficiency in systems modeling tools, requirements management software, and simulation environments to support system development and validation

  • Experience with aerospace standards such as DO-178C, DO-254, or ARP4754 is highly desirable

  • WE VALUE

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field

  • Experience working on complex aerospace systems and cross-disciplinary engineering teams

  • Knowledge of emerging aerospace technologies including autonomous systems and advanced avionics

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

Benefits

  • The annual base salary range for this position is $120,000 -$150,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell Aerospace considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
